Gilbert E. Napoles discovered his passion for information technology while serving in the United States Air Force
HOLLYWOOD, FL, September 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gilbert E. Napoles, President of Napoles Consulting, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in information technology.
For about 33 years, Mr. Napoles has been involved in the information technology field. However, he began his career in the U.S. Air Force; he served proudly and honorably for 10 years, from 1974 to 1984. He started out in aviation as a jet engine mechanic, but decided that he would prefer to work in the up and coming technology of computer operations. During this transition, he attended college and earned an associates degree in computer science.
After leaving the Air Force, he immediately began freelancing developing software on a part-time basis. In 1985 he started working as Computer Operations Supervisor for the University of Miami, a position he held until 1987. During this period of time, in 1985, he founded his first business. He has been the President and CEO of various companies over the past 26 years. In 2007 Mr. Napoles turned his longtime passion and hobby of riding Harley Davidson motorcycles into a business with the establishment of American Motorcycle Adventures, Inc. In 2010 he founded Napoles Consulting, Inc. and is currently developing new areas to serve his clients. Mr. Napoles believes that his success is a result of dedication to excellence, putting his customers first, and treating them fairly and honestly.
A troubleshooting expert, Mr. Napoles excels in resolving computer network hardware and software issues. At Napoles Consulting, Inc., he manages information technology services for his clients, visits client sites to resolve issues, advises clients on new projects and services as well as develops preventive and remedial maintenance programs. Based on his clients' needs, he makes the necessary changes to software and ensures that operations run smoothly.
Mr. Napoles has been honored with the Air Force Commendation Medal, which was awarded to him for his outstanding performance of duty and innovative implementation of new hardware and software while assigned to the Air Force Logistics Command Headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. However, he claims that the highlight of his career was seeing his three daughters follow in his footsteps by joining the high tech career field.
