Laura M. Trefil stands at the helm of her own successful IT company. She brings no less than 23 years of experience to Trefil Consulting, which specializes in information technology hosting solutions using Citrix and a variety of other enterprise application products. In the dual capacity of president and engineer, she prepares customer requests and quotations, resolves hardware and software issues, manages employees, oversees the sales team, and meets with new clients. A published author, Ms. Trefil wrote what is widely regarded as the first third-party technical administration book for Citrix Systems, Inc., published by McGraw-Hill in 1998. She also penned two other Citrix training books, including a Citrix marketing manual.

Ms. Trefil and her company have been recognized with multiple honors for their contributions to the industry. Most notable of these are their two consecutive "Best of Bolingbrook" awards from the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA), a New York City-based organization that aims to promote local businesses operating in towns across the U.S. Bestowed in 2010 and 2009, the two awards exemplified Trefil Consulting's excellence in the Business Services category and bespoke the positive image of small business that they have established among their customers and community. Only one in 70 2010 award recipients qualified as two-time winners. Ms. Trefil considers this feat to be among the highlights of her career. She attributes her success to her hard work, integrity and customer service skills, and to the support she receives from her family.
