With nine years of experience as Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CalUniversity (CALU), Dr. Shaan Senthil Kumar is responsible for the development of the curriculum, management of its information systems, corporate marketing and sales and operations. In addition to those responsibilities he also heads global business development, corporate investments, angel investments, mergers and acquisitions in many high technology industries doing so with an organization of over 2,000 people worldwide. He became involved in his profession after gaining experience training people for information technology certifications at various companies, and he attributes his success to his vision, tenacity, and commitment.

Dr. Kumar received his Doctorate of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Business Management in 2009, his MBA in Marketing with a concentration in Qualitative Method in 1997, and received his Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and Bachelor of Engineering with a concentration in Electronics and Communications in 1995. Dr. Kumar also serves as the Chairman of the United States Global Entrepreneurs Association (USGEA), a nonprofit global business network formed by entrepreneurs, executives, educators, and investors for the growth and development of small and medium size businesses, emerging entrepreneurs, and professionals. He is a member of the eLearning Guild, the Project Management Institute, Inc., the San Gabriel Valley Chamber of Commerce, the California Association on Private Postsecondary and Vocational Schools, the American Society of Training and Development, and the American Management Association.

In addition to his entrepreneurial success in technology and education, in 2008 Dr. Kumar starred in an award winning Bollywood movie. He has also started a movie production company called H2B Studios.
