David M. Ritter's strategic and operational leadership skills enabled him to deliver significant value as Vice President of Competitive Intelligence for Royal Dutch Shell plc.

Ritter, Vice President Global Competitive Intelligence for Royal Dutch Shell, plc has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for his dedication, operational leadership and advancing the strategic use of competitive intelligence in executive decision making.

As Vice President of Global Competitive Intelligence for Royal Dutch Shell plc for the last three years, Mr. Ritter was responsible for directing the activities of a global organization of internal and external operatives which provided critical insights on key strategic decisions, market focused intelligence and analysis of known and potential market moves. Prior to this he was the senior operating executive for the Central & Eastern Europe, Mediterranean and CIS supply envelope for Shell Downstream in Europe. Before joining Shell, he was President of The Haymarket Group, LLC a boutique management consulting firm, and was a leader in the oil and gas consulting practice of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, LLC. He has also held senior operating leadership positions in Mobil, BP and ExxonMobil, and has spent more than a third of his career in posted outside the US. He attributes his success to the support of his family as well as his persistence, determination and drive to deliver measureable results.

Mr. Ritter received his MBA in Finance from Lehigh University and did post graduate work in operations management at the University of Southern California. He received his BSCE with a concentration in structures from Lehigh University as well. He is a member of the American Management Association, National Petroleum Refiners Association and the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals.
