NEW YORK, NY, October 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lisa D. Stein, Chief Financial Officer of STRIVE, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.

Ms. Stein has over 15 years of overall professional experience. As the CFO of STRIVE, she manages finances, projects, compliance, human resources, information technology and plan administration, and handles government funding. She is also in charge of overseeing grant awards to affiliates operating in various geographic markets.

Ms. Stein has been employed by the United States Government Accountability Office and in Morocco, consulting for the Peace Corps. She also began working for the Waltham Group at Brandeis University, raising money for the City of Waltham, and was involved with social services as a case manager for the homeless in California.

A member of the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York, Inc., Ms. Stein earned a Master of Business Administration and a management certificate in public and nonprofit administration from Boston University. She holds a certification in federal grants management for nonprofit pass-through organizations, which she earned from Management Concepts.
