Joseph P. O'Keefe attributes his career success to his perseverance and communication skills
WORCESTER, MA, October 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph P. O'Keefe, Staff Nurse for Odd Fellows Home of Massachusetts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.
As a staff nurse for Odd Fellows Home of Massachusetts, Mr. O'Keefe specializes in patient care. In his position, he administers medication and conducts evaluations of residents with respiratory issues or wounds. Odd Fellows Home of Massachusetts is a rehabilitative care facility that provides health care and rehabilitation services. Prior to joining the facility, he worked as an electronics technician for the United States Navy (1978-1984). Mr. O'Keefe continued to work in the high tech field until the state of the economy motivated him to enroll in college and obtain a degree, as well as a new exciting career.
Mr. O'Keefe received his Registered Nurse and Associate Degree in Nursing from Quinsigamond Community College, with honors, in 2008. He became involved in his profession after realizing the potential for growth and stability in the nursing field as opposed to information technology, and he accredits his success to his perseverance, communication and organizational skills. In the future, he intends to further his education and continue working as a staff nurse.
