A member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Betta Kappa, Ms. Farooq is pursuing her Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. In 2005, she received her Master of Arts in Statistics from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Arts in Statistics in 2004 from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She received the Mabel Smith Douglas Honor Thesis in Mathematical Finance.
