India Chapter of Society for Technical Communication (STC) is organizing it's 10th Annual conference in Pune . After a 4-year hiatus, the STC India conference returns to the burgeoning metropolis of Pune for the third time. The STC India conference is the largest gathering of technical communicators in the country.At Le Meridien , On December 12 and 13, 2008, Pune will play host to the technical communication fraternity from across the country, and even the world. As is the custom, the preconference workshops will be hosted a day before the conference starts, on December 11, 2008.. This conference is India's largest event of its kind bringing together under one roof varied professionals from the field of technical communication.

Speaking at a Press Conference Makarand Pandit , Program Manager of the conference said "Technical writing (technical communication ) is a rapidly growing profession in India and its importance is being recognized by more and more industries today . With the increasing competition it has become mandatory today to provide quality user documents and restrict technical support. The STC India conference is the largest gathering of technical communicators in the country.
